These terms cover use of the public website at https://www.192-168-1-1.app. They were last updated on 30 September 2026. Using the site means you accept them.

A handbook, not a login service

The pages explain how to open an admin address, which factory username and password a brand has published, and what to check when a page will not load. The site does not connect to your router, store a session, or complete a login for you. There is no paid plan and no support contract.

Only equipment you may administer

• Use the guides on a router, modem, or gateway that you own, or that the owner has asked you to administer.
• Do not use a factory password, a reset button, or a guide on this site to enter equipment that belongs to someone else, including a neighbor’s Wi-Fi, a workplace network, or an ISP device you were told not to change.
• Do not try to bypass a password that was already changed. If you have lost the password on your own router, the recovery path is a factory reset, which erases that router’s settings.

What the pages do not promise

A default password is a starting value from a manual or a setup card. An ISP, an installer, or a previous owner may have replaced it. Model names overlap, and a sticker can disagree with an older guide. Check the label on the device in front of you. After a successful login, set your own admin password and keep the Wi-Fi key separate from it.

The writing is general information. It is not a promise that a particular address will open, that a setting is safe on your line, or that a change will leave the rest of the network working. Port forwarding, resets, and address changes can take devices offline. Read the warning on that guide before you apply it.

Brand names

TP-Link, Netgear, ASUS, D-Link, Huawei, Xiaomi, Linksys, Tenda, and the other names in the guides belong to their owners. The site is not affiliated with them, and a mention is not an endorsement. More of that context is on the about page.

Acceptable use of the website

• Read and share links to individual guides. Do not copy the site into another domain and present it as your own.
• Do not send automated traffic that degrades the site for other readers.
• Do not submit someone else’s personal data to the site. The forms here do not ask for it, and the search box is not a place to store it.

Addresses outside this website

A link to 192.168.1.1 or another private address leaves this website and talks to hardware on the local network. The router’s own screens, passwords, and firmware are outside these terms. Public sites linked for a manual or a vendor page have their own terms.

The writing on the site

The arrangement of the guides, the wording, and the illustrations are part of this website. Factory usernames, passwords, and IP addresses that manufacturers publish are facts, not a claim of ownership over those products. You may quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing the guides as a competing site is not allowed.

Availability and changes

Pages can be corrected, reorganized, or removed without notice. A guide that was accurate for one firmware can become incomplete after the manufacturer changes it. The site is offered as it stands, without a warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular network, or uninterrupted availability.

Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, the operator of this website is not liable for lost settings, downtime, or other loss that follows from using a guide, resetting a device, or relying on a factory password. You decide whether to change a router you administer. Nothing here excludes liability that the applicable law does not let a website exclude.
