Xiaomi’s gateway is 192.168.31.1, a number other brands rarely use. There is usually no shared factory password such as admin. The management password is created in the Mi WiFi or Xiaomi Home app during the first setup.

Connect to the Xiaomi Wi-Fi
Use the network you named in the app. The default name often starts with Xiaomi or Redmi until you change it.

Open 192.168.31.1
Type 192.168.31.1 in the address bar. miwifi.com is a shortcut to the same page when you are on that Wi-Fi. Off the network, miwifi.com is just a website and will not show your settings.

Use the app password
Enter the management password from the Mi WiFi app. It is not the Wi-Fi password unless you deliberately made them the same.

Why 31 and not 1
Xiaomi picked 192.168.31.1 so the router can sit behind an ISP modem that already uses 192.168.1.1. If you type the more famous address, you may open the modem instead of the Xiaomi.
Xiaomi will not open
admin / admin does nothing
That pair belongs to other brands. Xiaomi stores the password you typed in the app. If it is forgotten, reset the router and set it up again. Old settings, including the Wi-Fi name, are erased.
The app is signed into another Xiaomi account
The web password and the Xiaomi account are related but not identical. The web form wants the management password, not the store login, unless the firmware asks for the account explicitly.
A mesh satellite will not open
Sign in on the main router at 192.168.31.1. Satellites do not keep a second admin site.
