192.168.31.1 Login
Xiaomi chose 192.168.31.1 so the router can live behind a modem that already owns 192.168.1.1. The admin password is not a factory word you can look up. It is the management password created in the app.
On the Xiaomi Wi-Fi, open http://192.168.31.1 or miwifi.com. Enter the management password from the Mi WiFi app. admin / admin is the wrong pair for current models.
This link only works when your phone or computer is connected to that router. A website on the public internet cannot log in for you.

Connect to the Xiaomi SSID
The name you set in the app, or the default Xiaomi or Redmi name. Mesh satellites use the same network and the same admin page.

Use the management password
It may match the Wi-Fi password if you set them the same. If you did not, the Wi-Fi key will be rejected. A forgotten management password needs a reset, which clears the Wi-Fi name too.

These are common factory values published for first-time setup of equipment you own. An ISP, installer, or previous owner may have changed them. After you get in, set your own admin password.
31 is intentional
The third octet avoids the crowded 192.168.1.0 network used by ISP modems in the same cupboard. If a guide tells you every router is 192.168.1.1, it is not describing Xiaomi.
192.168.31.1 will not open
192.168.1.1 opens the modem
Expected. The Xiaomi is one hop inward. Stay on the Xiaomi SSID and use 192.168.31.1.
miwifi.com asks you to download an app and nothing else
You are not on the router’s LAN, so the public site loaded. Connect to the Xiaomi and try the numeric address.
The web password and the store account differ
The form on 192.168.31.1 wants the management password. The Xiaomi account email is for the app store login unless the page explicitly asks for it.
