192.168.8.1 Login
192.168.8.1 is the HiLink address. It belongs to Huawei battery hotspots and many fixed CPEs, not to a typical Archer or Nighthawk. The admin password and the Wi-Fi key are printed as two different values.
Join the Huawei Wi-Fi, open http://192.168.8.1, and sign in as admin. Use the sticker password if admin / admin fails once.
This link only works when your phone or computer is connected to that router. A website on the public internet cannot log in for you.

Join the hotspot, not your home router
The phone must be on the Huawei SSID. Being on the home 192.168.1.1 network will not open the pocket device.

Separate the two secrets
Wi-Fi key: joins the radio. Admin password: opens this page. On older E5 units both can be admin. On B535-class CPE, read the label under the cover. Brand notes: Huawei.

These are common factory values published for first-time setup of equipment you own. An ISP, installer, or previous owner may have changed them. After you get in, set your own admin password.
Data-only devices still have an admin page
A pocket router has no Ethernet LAN in the familiar sense, but it still has a gateway. 192.168.8.1 is that gateway. While the phone uses the hotspot, this address is local. When you leave the hotspot, the address goes quiet.

The phone fell back to the house Wi-Fi. Forget that network for a minute, connect only to the Huawei, and try again.

You copied the wireless key. Look for a second row, sometimes a QR card or a value labeled Password under the battery.

Some firmware prefers the AI Life or HiLink app. The browser at 192.168.8.1 still works on most CPEs for APN and Wi-Fi settings. Use the app if the browser form is missing.
