Huawei router login
Huawei does not use one IP for every product. A home router or optical gateway is often 192.168.3.1 or 192.168.1.1. A pocket Wi-Fi or CPE with HiLink is often 192.168.8.1. The password that works is almost always printed on the nameplate, not the word admin.

Match the product
A box with Ethernet ports is usually 192.168.3.1 or 192.168.1.1. A battery Wi-Fi device is usually 192.168.8.1.

Read the nameplate
Look for User and Password, sometimes in a small card slot. The Wi-Fi key and the admin password are different rows.

Open the IP over Wi-Fi or cable
Connect to that Huawei, type the IP in the address bar, and enter the printed user. It is often admin, sometimes user or telecomadmin on an ISP optical modem.

ISP units are a special case
A Huawei optical modem branded by a carrier may accept only the carrier’s account. The sticker password then opens a reduced page, or no page. Retail Huawei routers bought in a shop are the ones this login guide can finish.
Huawei will not open
admin / admin fails
Expected on most current Huawei home routers. Use the sticker. Some ISP firmware even disables the printed user and gives the account only to the provider. In that case the Wi-Fi password can still be changed in the Huawei AI Life app if the unit was bound there.
The optical modem and the router both exist
192.168.1.1 may be the modem, while the Huawei router you actually want is 192.168.3.1. Check the gateway on a phone joined to the Huawei Wi-Fi, not the modem Wi-Fi.
HiLink login and Wi-Fi key were swapped
On pocket Wi-Fi, people type the long Wi-Fi key into the admin form. The admin password is the shorter sticker value, often admin only on older E5 hotspots. See 192.168.8.1.
