192.168.1.254 is the last usable address in 192.168.1.0, and several ISP hubs sit there so customer devices can count upward from 192.168.1.1. People who try 192.168.1.1 on these hubs are one hop away from the real page.
Open http://192.168.1.254 while connected to the hub. Username is often admin. The password is the one printed on the settings card, not the word admin.
This link only works when your phone or computer is connected to that router. A website on the public internet cannot log in for you.

These are common factory values published for first-time setup of equipment you own. An ISP, installer, or previous owner may have changed them. After you get in, set your own admin password.
Do not reset a hub casually
ISP hubs store the broadband login. A reset can take the internet down until those details are typed again. If you only forgot the Wi-Fi key, look at the card first. Reset is for a lost admin password, not for a slow evening.

192.168.1.1 opens a different device
A computer or a second router took .1.1 because the hub lives at .254. You want the higher number. Confirm with the gateway field.
The printed password fails
Someone changed it in the hub wizard. The card is then historical. Reset only if you have the broadband details the hub will ask for again, or if the ISP can restore them. See factory reset.
A second router is doing the Wi-Fi
The hub at .254 may be bridged, and your own router answers on 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Change the Wi-Fi password on the box that broadcasts the name you join.
