10.0.0.1 Login
10.0.0.1 is private, just like 192.168.1.1, but it lives in the 10.0.0.0 block. Comcast Xfinity gateways use it often. Typing 192.168.1.1 out of habit misses the page entirely.
If the gateway says 10.0.0.1, open http://10.0.0.1. Username admin. On an Xfinity gateway, try the password printed next to the Wi-Fi key on the sticker.
This link only works when your phone or computer is connected to that router. A website on the public internet cannot log in for you.

Use the sticker, then change it
Many Xfinity units accept admin plus the printed Wi-Fi password as the admin login. After you are in, set a distinct admin password so guests who know the Wi-Fi key cannot change settings. Then see guest network.

These are common factory values published for first-time setup of equipment you own. An ISP, installer, or previous owner may have changed them. After you get in, set your own admin password.
Why this is not 192.168.10.1
10.0.0.1 and 192.168.10.1 share a 10 and nothing else. One is a class-A private gateway. The other is a 192.168 address used by some modems and recorders. Copy the gateway from the device instead of repairing it from memory.
10.0.0.1 will not open
192.168.1.1 almost works in your memory
That is a different network. A 10.0.0.1 gateway hands out addresses like 10.0.0.20. Devices on 192.168.1.x are attached to some other box.
The xFi app and the web page disagree
The app is signed into a Comcast ID. The local page wants the sticker or the admin password saved in the gateway. Either can change Wi-Fi. You do not need both.
Your own router is behind the gateway
10.0.0.1 may be the ISP box, while your router uses 192.168.1.1. Port forwards belong on the outer gateway unless it is in bridge mode. See port forwarding.
